Monique Alexander was born on 26 May 1982 in Vallejo, California, USA. She had dark hair as a child, but dyed blonde most of her life. Always worried about what people would think, so carefully considered every move she made, including her first M/W. She started working in the adult industry as a stripper in Sacramento when she was 18 to supplement her daytime earnings as a receptionist. She appeared in several adult magazines with her first photo shoot with Earl Miller. She began appearing in adult films in 2001, beginning with g/g scenes in Hot Showers Number 2 and she signed an exclusive contract with Sin City the same year. In addition to her lesbian work, she has appeared in several soft-core erotic films produced by HBO and Cinemax such as Hotel Erotica, The Sex Spa, Sex House and Voyeur: Inside Out.
She signed an exclusive contract with Vivid Entertainment from 2004 until 2009. After several years of performing only in lesbian scenes, she began appearing in scenes with actors in 2005, including an interactive DVD with Rocco Siffredi in Vivid’s Lexie and Monique Love Rocco. She had breast augmentation surgery in December 2010. She was the Trophy Girl at the 2002 AVN Awards in Las Vegas.

She was invited on the Fox News show Red Eye w/ Greg Gutfeld to discuss a non-partisan study that found that anti-abstinence programs for teens were not working, while safe sex education programming was very successful. Discussed what it means to be a vibrant girl for her, as well as her preference for practical sex education, which came out on 10 November 2007. On 15 February 2008, she and Ron Jeremy defended the industry in a debate at Yale University against pornography against Craig Gross (founder of XXX Church) and Donny Pauling, a former porn producer, and the debate aired on ABC’s Nightline.
She also appeared in the 2009 action film Crank: High Voltage.
In 2017, launched a government programme encouraging parents to discuss sexual health with their children, noting that children may have seen pornography at some point in their childhood and should be informed that what is portrayed in pornography is an unrealistic representation of sexual behaviour.
